Friday 4th January 2008

Today we went to a village 70kms out of Chennai. 15 of us in a 10 seater for 2 hours. Yee har! Cool village. The second we stepped out of our vehicle we were mobbed by people pushing carved elephants, postcards, stone balls (extraordinarily intricate carvings of weirdo Hindu gods) and trinkets at us. They had some street stalls and the usual fascinating array of people trying to eke out a living. There was a grown adult man who was only 3 feet tall trying to sell Craig some postcards – but he wasn’t a dwarf! Very cool. Pete.

Hope you didn't jump out of the car waving your arms about and pointing at that 'small man' shouting "Ze Dwarf Ze Dwarf!" Bard Karma Petie, bad bad...

Hi Guys, this is my second attempt to place a comment and I could not get it to work. Hope you had a great Anniversay on the 4th and that you continue to have a great time. I have really enjoyed reading the commentaries and am very impressed with the kids. Great job, keep it up. Love to all Nana.
