The last four days have been amazing with all the kids and hopefully we will be able to see them on the way back to Chennai. Today I woke up at 7:00 am and had fruit salad for breakfast by myselfL (I was singing too loud and got kicked out of my room). I bought real silver anklets with Rachael and Maddi and it was only $25.00 Australian dollars J(we still need to pay back Rachael). We came back from shopping and had a very quick lunch that Rachael had paid for. Thanks Rachael. We are now on the train heading to Muniguda with a little boy called Tuna who is 4 yr’s old and is getting an operation on his hand. (Editor’s note: Tunas little thatch hut caught on fire when he was a baby. His mother died in the blaze but not before throwing him and his brother out into the jungle to save their lives. His face was burnt and his hand was horribly melted into a deformed mess. They found him barely alive and brought him to New Hope since he had no other family. Now he has a new family, an
education, and a real future. Plus, the amazing doctors here are able to do the reconstructive surgery needed so he can use his hand again. The money to pay the doctors and nurses comes largely from donati
ons from Australia.) Mahalia

Hello All!
It's wonderful to hear you're sharing life with these kids.. aren't we so blessed in Oz? Great pic too! (I guess Elijah took that one!) Where to now? Elijah, how good are they at cricket? You must be making many friends! By the way, I love the pic of the tall, gangly man! Didn't know there was a tribe of giants in India! :-)
Have a great week! xxoo
You kids are really seeing life from another perspective. Makes you pretty greatful for our lives here in Australia. There are a lot of fantastic volunteers around the world aren't there? Love to all Lala and Pippy xxxx
